Volvik Golf Balls

Volvik Golf Balls

They have been on the market for a little while now but I just cannot get my head around playing with brightly coloured and sort of hypnotic looking golf balls, Volvik Golf balls have gone to another level in the golfing marketplace when it comes to manufacturing very bright and I mean very bright golf balls!

But saying that the long list of touring golf pro’s that are queuing up to endorse them or should I say take a big fat pay day to play with them who knows, but the long list of players hitting them around the globe on the various golfing tours is picking up some momentum since Bubba Watson used the Volvik golf ball at the US Masters this year.

Players using them on the tour includes:

Bubba Watson – US PGA Tour

Tim Petrovic – US PGA Tour

Craig Stadler – Champions Tour

Larry Nelson – Champions Tour

Jennifer Johnson – LPGA

Casey Grice – LPGA

And no doubt the list will keep growing as the Volvik golf ball popularity grows more momentum and the fat pay cheques keep getting thrown around, these Volvik guys in Korea have their eyes set on not only just the golf ball market but also golfing equipment in general, they are knocking out a full putter range and a few wedges on the hardware side of things but they are also churning out golf gloves, golf hats, golf bags and golf gifts to add to the shopping list!

But what do I think of them? Being a golfing traditionalist I like the idea of a white golf ball, nice shiny gloss finish and your preferred golf makers name on them, even the Volvik white golf ball is a dull looking matte white colour finish which sort of confuses your eye when looking at them!

I might be tempted to give them a go in the winter but definitely not in the summer, perhaps the little guys at Volvik in Korea think there is a new and up and coming market for the younger golfer that likes bright shiny looking golf balls, they must have done some market research on the golf ball sector before they started investing or churning them out in South East Asia – so perhaps they know something I don’t – maybe but I am sticking with my boring, white gloss and traditional golf ball for the time being!
