TaylorMade TP5 Golf Balls Review

Today I wanted to give the new ball to the golf market a go out on the golf course, so in this article TaylorMade TP5 golf balls review I wanted to give you my personal opinion on the golf ball, from tee through to green I wanted to give it a good run to see if it does stand up to TaylorMade TP5 Golf Balls Review - Sleeve of golf balls all of the hype competing against the Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1X – to my amazement it was pleasantly a nice golf ball.

Look and Feel

The ball looks great, the clear white skin and the subtle markings on the golf ball certainly make it pleasing to the eye, it has a nice soft feel to it too which is a good sign. TaylorMade TP5 Golf Balls Review - Golf Ball

Off the Tee

With me always being a drawer of the ball I am always concerned that if a ball has too much spin then a slightly fast swing would normally turn the ball over, the new TP5 golf ball was a nice ball to hit and stayed a lot straighter than normal ‘tour equivalent golf balls’ – so there is a plus, it also went further off of my driver tee shots and also felt that it really compressed nicely with my tee shots when playing par 3’s.

Out of bunkers

I always like to see how all golf balls stand up to the wear and tear of playing out of either fairway or greenside bunkers, after playing two shots out of a greenside bunker it was starting to show a bit of wear and tear which I don’t personally like in a golf ball. It was not even the case that I didn’t catch the ball right when playing out of the bunkers it just starting showing a few marks which I am not a fan of, my normal preferred golf ball will last 18 holes of golf and it will still look OK and alright to play another round with if you chose to – so not the most durable golf in my personal opinion. TaylorMade TP5 Golf Balls Review - Golf Ball

Touch and feel around the greens

Great ball if you want to get some good action on the golf ball, whether you are playing little bump and runs or lob shots into the pin this is a golf ball for all golfers that what to see a golf ball check-up with some good spin, so for me if you want to get up and down and get the ball close this is the golf ball that is worth a look.

All in all, apart from the scuff marks playing out of bunkers this golf ball is a must try, if you are not fussed about what golf ball you use then this one is definitely worth a look, but the cost might be a deciding factor if money is the issue – however, if money is not the issue and you want to play with a top quality golf ball then the new TaylorMade golf ball is worth at least buying a dozen to give them a whirl – my personal rating would be a 9 out of 10 rating for this golf ball, it would have got a 10 if it wasn’t for the scuffing marks and durability, apart from that it’s got to be one of the best golf balls on the market.
