PGA Tour Schedule 2018

PGA Tour Schedule 2018

This weekend we saw the PGA Tour Schedule 2018 kick off in style at the Sentry Tournament of Champions taking place at Kapalua in Hawaii with Dustin Johnson blitzing the field by an incredible 8 strokes to win his 17th PGA Tour victory. PGA Tour Schedule 2018 - Dustin Johnson

But all the gossip is not about the incredible 8 stroke win but his near ‘ace’ at the par 4 12th hole measuring just over 430 yards, he swiped his new TaylorMade driver to within inches of the hole for a tap-in eagle but it could have easily been an ace, even Dustin Johnson made light of the drive and made the comment shortly afterwards if he hadn’t of hit it a bit thin it would have rolled in!

This win for DJ moved him from number 25 on the FedEx Cup to number 2, number one on the FedEx Cup placings is still held by Pat Perez who notched up a tied 4th position for his efforts, however the biggest climber in the FedEx Cup rankings goes to Jon Rahm who catapulted from 151 on the list to 18 on the FedEx Cup list for his runner-up finish, so 2018 could have good signs for both Dustin Johnson and Jon Rahm – and both very big hitters.

So from Kapalua the tour will hop over to Honolulu for the Sony Open at Waialae CC starting on the 11th January, if anything is to go by from last year was when Justin Thomas won the event on 27 under par for the tournament and threw in a cool 59 in his first round of the event, no doubt Justin Thomas will have a great thoughts from last year’s event but I have a feeling that Dustin Johnson might have something to say about that and carry on the great scoring of last weekend.

  1. Hi Rs,

I think we are all looking forward to seeing how Tiger will perform this year, but as long as the whole season is stacked with drama and good golf it will be irrelevant who wins the tournaments as long as they are exciting.
