New TaylorMade Drivers 2018

New TaylorMade Drivers 2018

Well the New Year is now here and it doesn’t take long before the golf manufacturers start hitting the ‘hard sell’ buttons for the launch of their new equipment, the new TaylorMade Drivers 2018 have just launched the new M3 and M4 and it all makes interesting reading! New TaylorMade Drivers 2018 - M3 Driver

There are a lot of arguments that all other industries like the clothing, mobile technology and car industries, for example, hit us with new stuff all of the time and no one bats an eyelid, but when the golf industry does it all golfers feel like they are being ripped off once again and voice their concerns.

TaylorMade M3 and M4 Drivers have just been released and we have already seen the video released by TM with Rory, Jason, Justin ( Rose and Johnson ) and Jon Rahm stating that the ‘fairway had just got larger’ – with guys like these on tour who drive it like a bullet and arrow straight why do they want wider fairways!

Believe me I do know that if you put this new equipment in the hands of a robotic machine that pounds golf balls by the thousand then there would be significant rates of distances and dispersion ratios, but we are not robots we are human and all of us whether tour pro’s or amateur golfers make mistakes and never flush the ball the same time and time again – and that’s a fact unfortunately.

So do we believe the hype and invest in more new golfing equipment? I personally think there are a few things to consider here before you plunge head first into any new purchase whether it is TaylorMade products or any other golf manufacturer:

The

1. Will it really improve your game?
2. Will it seriously add yards or metres to your game?
3. Has your old driver really been given the opportunity to perform better?

Or is it simply that you like:

1. Buying new golfing equipment before your mates get it?
2. Having the latest equipment in your golf bag?
3. TaylorMade or any other golf manufacturer and will buy their stuff regardless?

The

Looking at the comments on social media today about the new TaylorMade Drivers 2018 it has been pretty amusing to say least, here are a few comments about the release of the new M3 and M4 drivers:

‘Taylormade spend more on marketing than anyone else. There’s not a lot more they can do technology-wise to improve the performance of the new drivers. It all comes down to aesthetics and gimmicks that we are made to think will improve our performance on the course. The real truth is….. It won’t’

‘Would be interesting to see what sort of results a high handicapper got, the consistency of swing path for mid-lower handicappers makes a big difference!’
‘£450 for a new Driver that Taylormade themselves will no doubt make obsolete in a couple of months with yet another “Cutting Edge” new model.. what a load of pish!..’

‘Still using my SLDR. Tried M1 Not gonna be sucked in by new technology that costs about £500 just for extra 10 yards or so’

So as you can see by some random comments I have selected off of social media the feedback is not good but I would say that they will both be a good seller because golfers love new toys and these two likely lads fit that ‘I must have the new toy tick box’.

I suppose the proof will be in the results from Rory McIlroy, Dustin Johnson, Justin Rose, Jon Rahm and Jason Day this year across the majors, PGA Tour and the European Tour – if the fairways have just got wider then, unfortunately, the courses might have to just get a little longer!

I hope that this article on the New TaylorMade Drivers 2018 was informative and if you have any questions regarding this article please do not hesitate to leave me a comment below, I will be glad to respond to any comments left.

Happy Golfing as Always.

I am one of those golfers that have to be totally convinced about the benefits of spending a lot of money on any golf equipment, the new TaylorMade Drivers 2018 will certainly get a look over but if it doesn’t do what I want it to do then I would not buy the driver, however if it does enhance my driving then of course I would endulge, I will have to let you know once I have taken it out for a demo hit on the range.

    Cheers for the article.

    Bernie
