Left Handed Golf Clubs

Left Handed Golf Clubs

Why is it so hard to accommodate left-handed golfers with Left Handed Golf Clubs? Even though there are 10 to 15% of the world’s population who are naturally left-handed, that percentage really reduces when you consider that a fraction of those that play golf – that figure reduces to approx. 5% of the world’s golfers that play left handed.

Perhaps now you can see why golf manufacturers do not really accommodate them for their golfing needs and requirements, and favour the masses in the right-handed golfing ranks! Bit unfair though isn’t it?

Where to buy left handed golf equipment

Locating stockists for left handed golf clubs can be an arduous task as most golf retailers tend to stock for the right-handed golfer, but with limited choice for the left handed golfer. Approx 25% of all golf clubs manufactured are made with a left-handed golfing options, but then there will also be a restricted choice of lofts and shaft flexes available so inevitably your choice will end up becoming a custom or special order.

Even the online golf stores have a limited choice, most of the time showing a right handed golf club image with a drop down selection to see if left handed golf clubs are an option of your choice, this can be a very time-consuming exercise and in the end, you could still be left empty handed and still no further on than when you first started searching online, so below I have done a bit of digging and found an Aladdin’s Cave for the left handed golfer looking for left handed golf clubs.

In this article, I want to look at where left handed golfers can buy left handed golf clubs whether it be online or in person, plus a few other interesting stats about left handers!

Because I am UK based I have decided to focus on one store ( Left Handed Golf Ltd) that has been catering for the left handed golfer for about 12 years, originally at Kingswood Golf Club in Surrey to Silvermere Golf Club approx. 20 minutes down the road so not too far away for their existing and established clientele.

With Silvermere Golf Club being easy to access with the busy M25 on its doorstep, by moving location, it has made it easier for the left-handed golfer to visit and get the left handed golf clubs fitted and made to measure to suit each individual. They have facilities to match and rival any golf club fitting store, so well worth a phone call or visit to arrange your left handed golf club fitting experience.

In the store, they stock all of the leading manufacturers and brands, with an extensive range of demo clubs you can be sure that they will have some clubs that suit your golf swing in stock or at least the shafts and club heads that are needed to enhance your game. They take online bookings for a session with a resident PGA professional for a full custom fit using the Flightscope X2 software, but they insist that all club fitting sessions must be pre-booked to avoid disappointment. In the store, they stock left handed golf clubs for Cobra, TaylorMade, Titleist, Yonex, Mizuno, Ping, Callaway, Nike, Cleveland and also Wilson, so a vast stock to choose from.

They are very competitively priced and also track other stores to ensure that their prices are the best in the market, they also have frequent special offers and clearance sales so be sure to keep an eye on their website for specials and offers, no doubt they are seasonal related offers but well worth keeping an eye on or alternatively if they have a newsletter subscribe to that to be kept up to date. They also offer an online shopping experience for golfers unable to travel to the Left Handed Golf Store at Silvermere Golf Club.
