Are Black Friday golf deals worth it
Are Black Friday golf deals worth it?
It has come to the day when everyone on the planet seems to go mad for Black Friday deals but are Black Friday golf deals worth it? or is it another way of getting rid of unwanted stock that the retailers just could not shift throughout the year?
As a golfer I am always on the lookout for good deals whether it is Black Friday or not, but I have come to the conclusion that Black Friday golf deals are not deals at all just a way of shifting stock that is going to be replaced with new whizz-bang drivers, irons, and golf equipment in general prior to the top golf manufacturers releasing their new products for 2018.
Don’t forget by January all the big boys such as TaylorMade, Callaway, Titleist, Ping, and Cobra will no doubt have a driver that out beats their last model and irons to match, but we get lead to believe that if you buy the ‘old’ equipment which is in theory still ‘new’ because they haven’t released the new equipment yet on Black Friday then you are going to miss out on massive savings – total load of BS if you ask me!
The worse bit about all of these Black Friday deals has got to be golf clothing because of the original markups in clothing in general across the board, some little sweatshop in the Far East knocking out golf shirts for less than a dollar and then selling them for $40 dollars in the first place, but we get bombarded with 50 to 70% savings if you buy today, they would still be making 300% profit on those prices too!
The worst bit is though if you don’t get sucked in by the Black Friday deals you will no doubt get suckered into buying it for Christmas, the golf retailers and retailers, in general, have you by the balls because of this and they know that this one Friday of the year is another day bonus on top of their annual sales – my personal recommendation is don’t get dragged into it and buy the golf equipment that will improve your game not the golf retailers bottom line?
